The Baldies 2007

The Bald Eagles came into existence in 2001 after a dinner party between a group of ex-Marcellin students, namely Paul Waldron, Pat Dennis and Dave Keyhoe. A team was entered in Division 3 of the Victorian Superules Competition under playing coach and ex-Collingwood player, Murray “Muzza” Browne. There was instant success and the team went through the season undefeated, culminating in a Premiership victory against Parkdale.

The Bald Eagles are now a group that compete in the AFL Melbournemetro Superules football competition, Division 1. But it is far more than just a football club. More importantly, the Bald Eagles are a group dedicated to a common cause – health, wellbeing and fitness. Affiliated with Marcellin Old Collegians Football Club and training and playing at Marcellin College in Bulleen, the Bald Eagles offer the camaraderie associated with a sporting club in a fun and relaxed environment.
